XS650: Happy New Year 2023/2024

Another one bites the dust

And another one gone, and another one gone

Another one bites the dust

composed by bassist John Deacon, sung by Freddie, RIP

A classic.

Unlike this year.

Next, will be worse. This will become apparent. Even to the unwilling. We live a game of Craps. Inside a matrix. And the dice are being rolled. We are the dots. Shit will, well, shit. Messy it will become. For, at least, the next 10 years. Innovation, eventually, will always win against control. The cost of not winning is greater.

Freddie hid his pain inside music. Maybe we should all learn to play music and sing.

The Blues!

Wont all be doom ‘n’ gloom. Breaking of control and supply structures brings pain. Forces innovation. Cottage industry will defibrillate villages. New/existing/forgotten regional resources will become critical. As will the question of ‘who/what’ controls and distributes them. Locally sourced and manned security, a la Switzerland or the German ‘Schuetzenvereine’, will confront predation. Know your neighbour. The world will separate into those controlled, at least nominally, by the motherweffers and those remaining outside (both controlled by the same forces). Economics, surveillance and propaganda will define lines of separation. Divide and rule. An ageless strategy.

Hinduism has an interesting time construct. The Yugas. Delving deeply into oral and written histories reveals an equally interesting understanding of abuse of power.

It’s enough to give you the blues.

guten Rutsch/Happy new year
